Viola would have liked very much to become a nurse, however a busy life and the love of raising four children kept her from that. She enjoyed being a wife and mother very much. Viola worked hard with her husband in the business; Harry's Service Centre, Gas Bar & Restaurant where she was in charge of business and Prepared delicious lunch specials. She did love to dance.

Viola Haskell of Hanover, passed away at University Hospital, London on Friday, April 20, 2007. She was 80.
Born in Stanley Township, daughter of the late Franklin and Margaret "Maggie" (nee Armstrong) Boyce. Viola owned and operated Harry's Service Centre and Vi's Lunch.
Survived by daughters Lynn Kerr of Hanover, Louise (Mike) Roulston of Kitchener, sons Brian (Cheryl) Carter of Waterloo, Steven Haskell of Moorefield, grandchildren Jordan Bowes, Travis Kerr, Tyson Roulston and Michaela Roulston. Also survived by her sisters Mary Garner of London, Grace (Tom) Young of Goderich, brothers Harvey (Vivian) Boyce of London, Clayton (Rose) Boyce, Ken (Shirley) Boyce and Jim (Alice) Boyce all of Goderich. Predeceased by husband Harry Haskell, her brother "Hank" Harold Boyce and sister Ila Good.
Visitation was held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm where a Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at 11:00 am.
Pastor Peter Caran officiated. Interment in Hanover Cemetery.
Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Kidney Foundation were appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

Obituary: Vancouver paper
Boyes - Debby passed away in her 56th year on June 8, 2004 after 3 1/2weeks in VGH with an undiagnosed illness. Debby loved life and was grateful every day for her family and for doing what she wanted to do, help others. Her integrity, intense interest in others, patience and ability to listen gained the trust and confidence to help people in a deep and life transforming way. Debby will be missed by many people from many walks of life and leaves behind her loving husband and sons Bayne and Graham, Father Brigadier Gerald Lucian Morgan Smith, sister Sally Koonce, brother Gerald Smith, sister-in-law Ann Smith, brother-in-law David Koonce, nieces and nephews~ Abby, Mary-Lee, Adam, Gerry, Cathy, Allan, Sarah, Kevin, Rachel and their families.
A celebration of Debby's life will be held Friday, June 11th at 2 P.M. at UBC Botanical Garden, Reception Centre, 6804 SW Marine Drive, (200 meters northwest of the intersection of 16th, & SW Marine Dr.), Vancouver.
Instead of flowers, Debby would have preferred donations to: Health Action Network of BC or the Raw Food Society of BC.
